Reflection on Subjects

Kinetic and Reactor Design

So far,I have learnt about this subject until chapter 3 which is until rate law and stoichiometry part.At first,when I entered the class during the first day of lecture I have no idea on what I will learn about this subject but thank God now I can understand well the objectives of this subject a bit and it seems quite fun and interesting to learn more especially in designing a reactor.Honestly,I feel lost sometimes during the lecture as the lecturer taught us in an ‘AWESOME’ speed but after doing some activities and solving questions in class,I can understand about conversion and stoichiometry table very well.Dr Suzana is a very good lecturer in my opinion and I very comfortable with the way she approach her student.I cant wait to learn from Mr Tazli afterwards!More and more awesome syllabus after this!!

Honestly I say,this subject is not easy.It is getting tougher and tougher and I seems hard to catch up on class.Now I am still struggling to understand the multiple reaction syllabus but thanks to Mr Tazli,your video helping me to study well.Hihi..I respect your style in educating your student by using smart phone,video ,etc.It is quite helpful.So far,the project gives me a liltle insight on how to design a process.Which is good enough to prepare our heart for our final year project later.Overall,I still need to improve my understanding on every syllabus so that I can do well in my finals.Although it is tough,no pain no gain.I will try my best!

Chemical Process Dynamic, Instrumentation and Control

First thing first,what I can say about this subject is “Oh My Goodness”!!..This subject is not easy and I need more practise on this subject especially on the equations thingy.I am having some difficulty to do the material balance as well as the energy balance.I need to strengthen my fundamental and revise back my thermodynamics I guess.So far,I am so blur in the class and I really need help to understand this subject very well.This is the toughest subject in this semester I guess!

As usual,this is the hardest subject this semester.I still weak in deriving the transfer function and need lots of practise on that particular syllabus.For the controller syllabus,I can understand more because I like how Dr Haslinda taught us in the class.Eventhough she teaches us in quite fast speed,I understand what she wanted to explain and delivery compare when Mr Abbas taught us last time.Last time I was blur and so far now I can go with the flow and hopefully I can improve my test marks.Actually,learning this subject quite fun but it require more practise and exercise to understand well the concepts.

Process Safety and Loss Prevention

It is quite interesting in learning this subject as we will solve questions in every class after Mr Zulkarnain finished teaching us using the slides.His teaching methods quite helpful and does not makes me feel sleepy during the lecture.From this subject,I know how to prevent accident in workplace as well as to minimize the hazards.This is very essential as in the future I will face the real industry environment and me as a chemical engineer need to master this process safety while doing a project so that any serious accident can be prevented.

I really enjoy learning this subject throughout this semester.I like how our lecturer taught us and gives us some activities to do in the lecture.It is really really helpful and not boring.From this subject,I learn a lot about safety in industrial field.Besides,I enjoyed while doing the experiment in lab as we can prepare ourselves to face the unwanted incident that might happen when working in the plant later.So overall,I have no problem in learning this subject.It is AWESOME!.

Reflection On Group Project

Reflection On Board Game

My group board game is known as INTO THE REACTOR’S WORLD.The concept of our board game is based on snake and ladder combine with the card game.We combine the element from three different subject which we are currently studying this semester which are KRD,CPDIC and PSLP.This game is simple and easy to play by anyone contains three different level of questions(EASY,MEDIUM and HARD) which will be asked to the player throughout the game.I am really glad to be able to make this board game together with 4 other handsome guys in my group as this game can help to promote chemical engineering to the society.Besides,through this game,the player can understand better about the three subjects and develop their understanding in each subject.This game also very fun and suitable for everyone regardless the age and gender.

Reflection of Questions Posed for KRD, CPDIC and PSLP on the Board Game

As one of the question maker,I found that it is challenging to prepare the questions from three different subject with three different level of difficulty as I need to go through every subject,read and read until I got ideas how to make a question and at the same time solve it on my own.These questions will be asked in the game when the player step on the coloured column (green,red and yellow).This is to test the knowledge and understanding of the player and at the same time can help to develop the player’s interest in these subjects.So far,I have learnt a lot about the subject while preparing the question and this is quite helpful for me.Thanks to this board game I learn to love the subjects more than before.

Contributions and Role to This Project

On the first meeting,we as a group were discussing about the concept of our board game. Lots of ideas came out into our mind during the meeting and at the end of our brainstorming session,all of us agreed to choose snake and ladder combine with flash card game as our board game concept. Then, we did few improvement on our second meeting by started to design the board game using AI software. I managed to contribute some ideas on how to make the Q&A session in the game more fun and helping my team to prepare PSLP questions with three level of difficulty. On the third meeting,we were focused on making our group website. Everyone giving their own opinion on how to make our website more attractive. On the same time, three of the members including me were finishing and altering our reactor board game. In this group, everyone has their own role, as for me I am the skeptic in the group. Sometimes, I will provoked some ideas given by my teammates if I find something unrealistic or unacceptable with the ideas but at the same time I will try my best to provide relevant ideas and assist in validating the ideas.

Reflection On Group Project 2

At the beginning,I felt we gonna have a hard times finishing the project because it seems too mainstream for all of us.Yup,to be honest it is quite challenging for a beginner like us.To design a process is challenging our mental and physical but I wanted to say here that I am so proud of each and everyone of us in the group because all of us giving our best for this project.We tried our best and ended up we successfully made it.This project actually teaches us a lot.Not only in the knowledge of designing and understanding the concept of the whole process but also build our teamwork spirit and patient as a team.Seriously if we do not help each other,we can do nothing.Although sometimes we are exhausted,tired and stress,we nailed it.I will take all the positive ones and learn from the negative ones because I know this project can help me in preparing for my fyp.

Contributions and Role to This Project

For this project, I am doing the transfer function and control element part.Besides,I also did the concept map for pslp. While doing the work,I learnt a lot about transfer function and begin to understand how to derive it based on the process occur.I have learnt more about controller especially feedback control in detailed.In this project,I am a skeptic person. Sometimes, I will provoked some ideas given by my teammates if I find something unrealistic or unacceptable with the ideas but at the same time I will try my best to provide relevan ideas and assist in validating the ideas.

Suggestions

To develop interest and more understanding about the subjects on students,I suggest that students are assign to do more practical or real life task to prepare them for more challenging life in future as a chemical engineer.Besides,more group work should be given to enhance their teamwork spirit.
